Hours: Wineries open year-round, always on weekends, and most every day.
Lake Erie Wine Country (which used to be referred to as the Chautauqua-Lake Erie Wine Trail, but is not called that any longer), is located in the largest grape-growing region east of the Rockies! It extends roughly 50 miles from Silver Creek, NY to Harborcreek, PA. The region’s 30,000 acres of vineyards, situated along the shores of Lake Erie, create unparalleled vistas of our agricultural heritage. The area is currently home to 25 wineries (13 in NY and 12 in PA) which produce an abundant and diverse line of wines; including viniferas (Merlot, Chardonnay), French hybrids (Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc), and labruscan wines (Concord and Niagara). As testimony to this German-like climate, wineries produce world-class ice wines and Rieslings. Award-winning wines, great gift shops, fun events, winery tours and picturesque small towns await!
