Katherine Galbraith began her career a s a portrait artist at the age of 12 and still continues her career as a portrait artist as well as embracing plein air, interiors, and her signature train paintings. She studied under Daniel Greene, NA and Robert Phillip, NA at the National Academy Museum & School of Fine Art in New York City. Katherine has had numerous one-woman shows in St. Simons Island, GA, Sea Island, GA, Boston, MA, Bronxsville, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, Atlanta, GA, and Westfield, NY. She is a Member of Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionists Society, and the American Society of Railroad Artists.
Her work can be found in private collections all over the world, and has appeared in national magazines, including Veranda, Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living, Where: Boston, and Coastal Living. She is currently represented by The Left Bank Art Gallery, St. Simons Island,
GA, The Art Loft, Chautauqua, NY, and recently opened her own gallery, The Station Art Gallery, in the restored New York Central Passenger Depot in Westfield, NY, in late May 2013.
