Edwards Waterhouse Inn
The Edwards Waterhouse Inn, an elegant five room bed & breakfast in the heart of Fredonia, a home for artists’ works, close to studios and downtown.
Around 1850 F.S. Edwards constructed a modest Italianate Villa at 71 Central Avenue in Fredonia, NY that was transformed in 1895 by the new owner, Dr. John Waterhouse, into the magnificent Queen Anne Victorian that it is today, more than doubling the size. The house has seen many uses, from a home, sanitarium, women’s college dormitory (known as “Alumni Hall”) and apartments. We are proud to reveal a new use of this proud structure.

Patterned after traditional English and Scottish teas and using a variety of tasty recipes, afternoon tea traditionally starts with savory finger sandwiches such as smoked salmon, cucumber, or egg and mustard cress), followed by scones with jam and cream (we are hoping to score some Devon clotted cream!) and crumpets or English muffins hot with butter, and finally a selection of cakes and cookies like shortbreads, sponge cakes, cream puffs and more!
